Kelendria Trene “Kelly” Rowland (born February 11, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality. She rose to fame as one of the founding members of the R&B girl group Destiny’s Child, one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time. Rowland has sold around forty million albums and twenty million singles with the group, and more than four million solo albums and eighteen million solo/featured singles.
Kelly Rowland began her solo career in 2002 with the release of her debut album Simply Deep, which contained influences of alternative-R&B and rock music. It included her joint worldwide number-one single “Dilemma” with rapper Nelly, as well as subsequent international single “Stole”, “Can’t Nobody” and “Train on a Track”. Apart from her work in music, Rowland has also launched a career in film and television.
